National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC)

The NFPC is a world leader in the training of hydraulics, pneumatics, control and automation. This National Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) provides the most advanced training facilities designed specifically to meet the needs of the 21st Century Engineer. From maintenance to management, systems design through to automation and electrical/electronic control, we can improve your knowledge, skills and overall ability to handle the ever changing demands placed upon us by advancements in technology.

Supported by the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) and its international company members, the centre has possibly the best practical facilities in Europe for hydraulic engineering.

Food Technology Centre

The Food Technology Centre at North Nottinghamshire College, a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE), is a unique facility providing services to the Food and Drink Manufacturing Industry and Education and Training for the Food Manufacturing and Catering and Hospitality Industries.

Students are provided with the opportunity of learning in an up-to-date realistic working environment, with state of art facilities. The Centre also houses ‘Graville’s Restaurant’, which has a fine reputation for exceptional food, service and value for money.

Industry is able to access the Centre’s technical facilities and expertise in order to carry out e.g. New Product Development, Product and Packaging Trials and Taste Panels. Kitchens, Processing Hall and Taste Panel (complete with software) are all available for hire, at very competitive rates, with or without Technical Support.
