Leaders First is a programme delivered through Business Link and Train to Gain to provide training and support to leaders and managers.

Funding is available to any organisation with 5 - 249 employees to support  training and development of senior managers or key decision makers. The funding is to support the improvement of skills through coaching, mentoring or working towards a qualification.

One grant is available per organisation up to £1,000.  The first £500 is given to an organisation to train one leader or manager. The remaining £500 (matched by a company contribution) can be used to support the same person or others who have a direct impact on strategic development.

Enquiries will be considered from organisations who have not accessed previous Leadership and Management funding initiatives through the Learning and Skills Council.
