The National Training Awards (NTAs) are the UK’s most prestigious awards for training. They identify and celebrate organisations and individuals that have achieved outstanding business and personal success through investment in training.
The awards are run by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Innovation Universities and Skills (DIUS) is aimed at two or more organisations working together to design deliver and evaluate learning. The award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the impact and success created through the use of a collaborative approach to learning.
Entries are judged against the following criteria:
- The organisation, teams and individual needs are clearly defined and measured
- The learning and development activity is fit for purpose and resources used effectively / efficiently
- The delivery of learning and development activities benefits employers, individuals and/or society
- The improved individual and team performance is maintained
- The organisations can illustrate how the collaboration works and measure the benefits of collaboration
The NTAs are special because they receive entries from all sectors, industries and areas across the UK and provide us with the unique opportunity to have our training judged against the best in the UK.
Winning a National Training Award brings with it a real sense of pride and kudos. The external recognition can help us really raise the profile of our organisation and the work we are doing.
In today’s highly competitive and ever-changing economic climate, training is more important than ever. The creation of a highly skilled workforce increases performance and productivity, brings success to individuals and businesses, and contributes to the UK as a whole - put simply, training reaps rewards!
